To say that the Keeneland Sept sale was a sellers' market would be the understatement of the year. Total spend, average spend, median spend etc. have all been dramatically up YOY (and we are comping against a strong 2021 sale). During the course of the sale Adelphi bid on over 15x horses and outside of this colt we didn’t land a single one of them. We are very disciplined with our valuations and we don't stretch (if we really like a horse and it falls into our range, we'll land it but if it goes above that range, we won't continue bidding). It's been frustrating but sticking to our guns and being patient definitely paid off when we landed the full brother to Sadler's Joy!
