In her first start off the claim for Adelphi Racing Club and trainer Ray Handal, Exotic West took the off-turf 8th race at Saratoga on August 1 in impressive fashion. After stalking a fairly slow pace, Exotic West powered past the frontrunners in mid stretch under a super ride by Joel Rosario to take the winner's share of the $52,000 purse. Exotic West was claimed out of the race, and we wish her well with her new connections.
