Our very talented 3-year-old NY-bred colt, Illmatic, turned in an impressive, much-the-best performance to close out the card in style at Saratoga.
Despite running into a bit of trouble during the trip, jockey Flavien Prat kept his cool, guided Illmatic out into the clear, and watched the colt kick home powerfully to secure a resounding victory.
With this effort, Illmatic earned a career-best turf Beyer Speed Figure of 87, bringing his solid 2026 record to 2 wins, 2 seconds, and 2 thirds from 6 starts.
