In a textbook example of running "too good to lose" Twirling Candy did all the work on the front end of the Lady Erie Stakes and was just passed late (after fighting back on the inside) to finish 2nd. This was Twirling Beauty's first stakes race and first stakes placing earning the filly valuable "blacktype" for her future breeding career. You can watch a replay of the race here...
