Clavinet (By Disco Partner) 2-Year-Old Gelding

After purchasing him as a weanling  we sent Clavinet to KY to mature as a yearling and he thrived at Winter Quarter Farm.  We then sent him down to Ocala (Kinsman Farm) to be broken last fall and he progressed very rapidly.  So much so that he was one of the first Christophe Clement 2-year-olds to ship from Kinsman to their barn at Payson Park.  He’s trained forwardly since arriving there and has already completed his first slow 3 furlong breeze.  He looks extremely fast and precocious.  He was was a bit studish so we have made the decision to geld him and that should give us the best chance of him making the races sooner rather than later!

He’s out of a very productive female family!  His dam, Sky Gazer, was unraced but has had 7x foals make the races and they have all won including Saratoga Treasure who was a 5x winner and earner of over $336K.  She won the Autumn Days Stakes in NY and was multiple stakes placed as well.  April Gaze was a stakes winner and stakes placed.  She was 5 for 15 lifetime and an earner of over $188K.  Veterans Beach is a 3x winner and earner of nearly $200K.  He was placed in the open stake Laurel Futurity as a NYB.

This gelding looks like he could be a very exciting early season 2-year-old and he’s a New York Bred to boot!
