Magistrate (Two Year Old Colt)

Joe Migliore and Christophe Clement found this beautiful gray yearling at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. A physical standout from a young family, this flashy colt screams classic distance racing. While from a young family, he was bred on a proven cross that has produced Florida Derby winner and #1 third-crop stallion CONSTITUTION.

This colt has a strong pedigree on both the sire and dam side. Sired by millionaire TAPWRIT, who in addition to winning the Belmont Stakes is regally bred. By sire of sires TAPIT, TAPWRIT’s mare APPEALING ZOPHIE, by Successful Appeal, is also a multiple graded stakes winner, most notably of the Grade 1 Spinaway at Saratoga. He is the first foal for the stakes place Distorted Humor mare Eccentric Spinster. His second dam ALL STAR HEART, by Arch, won the Grade 2 Las Palmas Stakes, and was multiple graded stakes place going long on turf and polytrack.

He is currently at Kinsman Farm in Ocala, Florida. Founded by George and Joan Steinbrenner. Kinsman is a top level facility and excellent setting to establish the foundation of his racing career over the next 6 months.
